Shri Virendra Singh Verma

Shri Verma started his career in the Central Power Engineering Service. In his long standing career of over 46 years in the power sector, Shri Verma acquired wide and valuable experience in the field of Planning, thermal and hydro power plant engineering, project monitoring, construction, supervision, operation monitoring, human resource development, grid operations, conservation and efficiency, low carbon growth strategy and other environmental issues.
Shri Verma has been associated extensively in the policy formulation by the Government, specially after the enactment of Electricity Act, 2003. Shri Verma has also served as a Member Secretary of the Eastern Regional Electricity Board, Director General of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Member and Chairman of the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) etc. Shri Verma has also been on Governing Council/Board of Directors of various institutions like CPRI, NPTI, CWet, DVC etc.
Shri Verma has travelled extensively overseas and has to his credit more than 50 technical papers published and presented in the national and international forums.
Shri Verma received Life Time Achievement Award from CBIP and from Rajiv Gandhi Technical University, Bhopal. He was awarded Leading Energy Personality Award 2014 in November 2014 from Council of Power Utilities. He was also awarded Distinguished Alumni Award of IIT Roorkee. He has been an Adjunct professor for IIT Kanpur.
Shri Verma has been advising Govt of Rajasthan for improving their Distribution System of electricity in general including generation and transmission as a member of the task force appointed by the Govt of Rajasthan for five years. He co-authored a book namely ‘Solar Energy made simple for a sustainable future’, published by Springer Nature Singapore.
Shri Amal
Sinha

Shri Amal Sinha is a Graduate from Shri Ram College of Commerce, a Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant by qualification.
He is having rich experience of about 35 years in power distribution, manufacturing and service sector with expertise in Power Distribution business, Regulatory/Legal Affairs, Corporate Finance, Financial Restructuring and Fund Raising, Strategy Planning, Budgetary and Financial Controls and Audits.
Shri Sinha has worked with L and T and Escorts Group, BSES Rajdhani Power Limited and Reliance Infrastructure Limited at various senior level positions. Currently, he is also Director on the Board Utility Powertech Limited.
He is associated with the Company since 2006 managing the financial, strategic, legal and corporate affairs of the company.
Further, during his tenure as CEO, Shri Sinha confidently met all the challenges even during the peak summers of Delhi because of his experience with the company, his administrative abilities and his proactive approach. Under his able leadership the Company has been able to satisfy all the stakeholders such as DERC, Delhi Government, DPCL, Power ministry etc.
Shri Surya
Shankar Banerji

Shri Surya Shankar Banerji, 59, is having Bachelor’s Degree in Law (L.L.B.) and Chartered Accountant and Cost Accountant by profession.
He is having a rich working experience of 33 years post qualification in diverse sectors such as Steel, Textiles, Telecom, Engineering and Electricity sectors. He has rich experience of analysis of financial statements, funds management, budgeting, formulation of annual operating plans, cost optimization and control.
He has worked in various organizations like Airtel Limited, Tata Indicom Limited, Woolworth Limited and Bhilai Engineering Corporation Limited.
He has been associated with the BSES Discoms for more than 19 years and currently, he is working as Chief Financial Officer of BSES Rajdhani Power Limited
He has demonstrated good leadership qualities, team building capabilities and problem-solving skills. He has taken various initiatives for strengthening of internal controls, improvement in systems and processes across functions.
Shri Raj
Arora

Shri Raj Arora, 56, is having Bachelor’s Degree in Law (L.L.B.) and Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) from Delhi University. He is Fellow Member of Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) and Associate Member of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI).
He is a legal professional with 33 years of diverse and rich multi-domain, multi-industry leadership experience in Dispute Resolution, Contract Execution in Domestic and International markets, Statutory Compliances, Advisory and Public Policy.
Presently, he is working as Head-Legal (Senior-Vice President) with BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) where various favourable judgments on policy matters were passed in favour of BRPL.
Shri Shurbir Singh, IAS

Shri Shurbir Singh, IAS is a qualified Mechanical Engineer from Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
He is currently serving as Secretary (Power), GoNCTD. He is also Chairman-cum-Managing Director of both Delhi Power Company Limited (DPCL) and Delhi Transco Limited (DTL).In addition to above, he is also Chairman of Indraprastha Energy & Waste management Company Limited, Indraprastha Power Generation Company Limited, Pragati Power Corporation Limited and Delhi Vidyut Board- Employees Terminal benefit Fund(DVB, ETBF), 2002. He is also holding Directorships of Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited and BSES Rajdhani Power Limited.
During his career of 20 years, he has held various key positions such as Chief Electoral Officer, Pondicherry; Managing Director, Delhi Tourism & Transportation Corporation, New Delhi and CEO, Delhi Urban Shelter Improvement Board, New Delhi.
Ms. Zohra Chatterji

Ms. Zohra Chatterji belongs to the 1979 Batch of the IAS, UP Cadre and rose to the top position of Secretary, Govt. of India. She has held several important positions in her home state, UP, including Secretary and Director Industries, Labour Commissioner, Secy & DG Tourism, Secy & Project Director Basic Education etc. Her last assignment in UP was Principal Secy IT & Industries when she launched e-suvidha in Lucknow and project Lokvani for online redressal of public grievances for which she was awarded the Prime Minister’s Award for Excellence in Public Administration.
She joined Govt. of India on Central deputation in 2007 as Joint Secretary, Broadcasting in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting. The issue of broadcast regulation/self-regulation came to the fore during her tenure and the Electronic Media Monitoring Centre was set up at this time. She became Member Secretary, National Commission for Women on promotion as Additional Secy and was associated with drafting landmark amendments to the Criminal Law Amendment Bill and the Act for Prevention of Harassment of Women at the Workplace. She went on to serve as Additional Secretary Coal where she also held additional charge of CMD Coal India as its first woman CMD and chaired the IMG for monitoring of coal blocks. She was subsequently appointed as Secretary to Govt. of India, Ministry of Textiles. She has had a long association of more than ten years in the industrial sector and has special interest in handlooms and handicrafts, design development and skilling. She introduced many new initiatives for the same including a scheme for setting up of Hastkala Academy in New Delhi for documentation, promotion and preservation of handicrafts.
She was chosen to represent India at the first session of UN Women and also in deliberations at WIPO on the Broadcasting Treaty. She was a member of the US-India Working group on Coal and participated in its meeting at Washington DC. She also participated in the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB), annual international exhibition and conference in the US, the Textiles Conference at UNESCO, Paris and other International Conferences and events at Uzbekistan, China and Japan. She has also undertaken in service training programme conducted by Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and IIM Ahmedabad; another 10 weeks training programme in Public policy and management at University of Bradford, UK and one on Patents at the Swedish International Development Agency for Cooperation and Development (SIDA), Stockholm.
Ms. Chatterji is a graduate in Physics from Miranda House, New Delhi and did her post-graduation in English Literature. She had her schooling in Loreto Convent, Lucknow where she won the Inter-Loreto gold medal and trophy for best all round student for 3 years running. Before joining the IAS she was a lecturer in English Literature at IT College Lucknow. Her interests include painting, photography, dramatics and writing.
Post retirement she served as Chairman of the UP Institute of Design which was her brainchild. She has been a member of the News Broadcasting Standards Authority and presently she is an Independent Director in Travel Corporation (India) Limited and U.P. Industrial Consultants Limited.
She was the Founding President of Alliance francaise, Lucknow (an organisation supported by the French Govt.) and is a member of the Managing Committee of Avadh Girls Degree College, Lucknow. She is simultaneously pursuing her PhD from the University of Lucknow.
Shri Bipul Pathak, IAS

Shri Bipul Pathak, IAS (AGMUT 1992 batch) aged 56 years is B.Sc. (Mechanical Engineering) from Kurukshetra University, Haryana and post graduated in Master of Business Administration in Strategic Management from HEC Paris.
He is currently posted as Additional Chief Secretary (Finance & Planning) with the additional charges of Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) & Chairman (DSIIDC) in Delhi. In the past, he has held key positions in the Jammu & Kashmir Government, as Principal Secretary of Transport Department, Information Technology Department, Urban and Rural Development Department.
He also served Government of India as a Director in the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and as a Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Mines. Additionally, he served as the Managing Director of Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation.
Currently, he is on the board of Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, DMRC Limited and Delhi State Industrial and Infrastruture Development Corporation Limited.
He is recognized for his efficient governance where his leadership has modernized critical sectors such as public administration, power, transportation and technology.
