Sonia Vihar to have its own Cash Collection Centre



New Delhi: September 15, 2010. Now, the residents of Sonia Vihar will also have a separate, full fledged Cash Collection Centre. Along with Sonia Vihar it will also prove beneficial for the residents of adjoining areas like Khajoori Khas, Rajiv Vihar, Khajuri Pusta, Bhajanpura, Garhi Maandu and Brahampuri. This centre will have two Cash Collection Desks, where consumers will be able to pay their electricity bills conveniently. The Counters will be open from 9 am to 3 pm. Earlier, Sonia Vihar residents had to cover a distance of 3 kms to go to Bhagirathi-Gokulpuri to pay up their bills. From this Monday, a new Cash Collection Centre, which has specially been set up for the area, will start functioning.


According to BYPL CEO, Mr. Ramesh Narayanan, although Sonia Vihar residents already have many options to deposit their bills, but they specially requested to set up a separate Cash Collection Centre, where after depositing bills, they also get receipts. Now, there request has been fulfilled. For this we had to use additional resources, but it is ultimately going to benefit consumers at a large scale.


Sonia Vihar residents already had many options to deposit their bills like Easy bill outlets in, Suvidha outlets, Skypak Drop boxes and even Project Nikat Drop boxes in the locality which are all good medium for depositing bills. Besides this, area residents can also pay their bills through ITZ card, Credit card, Net Banking, Auto Debit and even through SMS also. ATM-like machines have also been set up in all divisional offices.


In view of the fast development of Sonia Vihar area, BYPL CEO Mr. Ramesh Narayanan said that the company is soon going to set up a Grid Sub-station there, which will be ready in the coming months. This move will not only ensure better power supply in Sonia Vihar but also, other colonies and villages in the area will get immensely benefited.


Sometime back, an Assistance Centre was also inaugurated at Sonia Vihar for registering no power complaints.
