Speak Easy: Now connect to BYPL in Urdu and Punjabi also



Now the residents of East and Central Delhi can connect to BSES Yamuna Power Limited (BYPL) in Urdu and Punjabi also. That’s right! BYPL’ consumers can call the company’s state-of-the-art single-number (39999808) Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) based Call Centre and get information in four-languages Hindi, English, Urdu and Punjabi.


With the launch of this service, BYPL customers can register their No Supply Complaint, get Bill Details and even report Power Theft in a language they are comfortable in. All this, without the need to wait for an operator to even pick up their call”, said a BYPL official.

According to Mr Ramesh Narayanan, CEO, BYPL, “Delhi has a large Urdu and Punjabi speaking population. The launch of our Call Centre services in Urdu and Punjabi fulfils the demands of a large majority of our consumers, as was found-out during a survey undertaken by BYPL”


BYPL has become the first discom in the Capital to connect with the consumers in four major languages spoken in Delhi – Hindi, English, Urdu and Punjabi. This is yet another testimonial of the strong relationship and bonding, we have with our consumers”, added Mr Narayanan.


It is extremely easy to opt for the preferred language on BYPL’ IVRS based Call Centre. After dialing the single-number 39999808, a customer has to simply press:



A customer will then be able to get information / lodged a complaint in their preferred language.


No supply complaint – Customers in East and Central Delhi only have to call the single digit call centre numbers – 39999808 for BYPL, choose the language of choice (Hindi, English, Urdu and Punjabi), Press ‘1’and simply enter their 10-digit CRN number, as printed on the bill. Not only will the complaint be immediately registered in real time, but the customer will also be given an instant acknowledgement number


Bill Details - Customers can call 39999808, choose the preferred language (Hindi, English, Urdu and Punjabi), Press ‘3’ and simply enter their CRN number. They will immediately get the bill details and the payment due date.


Power Theft Complaint – Customers can call 39999808, choose the preferred language (Hindi, English, Urdu and Punjabi), Press ‘6’ and after the ‘beep’, record the message. The anonymous message will be routed to BSES’ Enforcement department and prompt action taken.



According to a BYPL spokesperson, “To make the Call Centre services available in 4-languages, BYPL has taken the help of Deepa Rai and her team. They have also done the voice-over for leading organizations including Indian Airlines, Delhi Metro, Aviva and Religare among others”.
