Rolls out ATM type Bill Payment kiosks

 

  • BSES rolls out ATM type Bill Payment kiosks – 10 made operational in 1st phase
  • Unique benefits include – (i) Payment through Cheque, DD and Cash (ii) Multi-lingual touch screen, (iii) Anytime-Anywhere bill payment, (iv) Payment without bill,(v) Voice guidance for easy navigation, (vi) Instant payment confirmation, (vii) Provision of multiple bill payments against single payment of cash / cheque  and Generation of Individual bill wise receipts
  • In time, scope of these kiosks will be further enhanced to include – (i) Multi utility payment; (ii)Duplicate Bill printing; (iii) Complaint Registration, (iv) Application and payment for new connections
  • BSES customers have the option of paying their electricity bills through over 2000 options / locations including  Credit Cards, Net banking, Auto Debit, SMS, Phone, Internet, Easy Bill outlets, Itz Cards, Skypak drop boxes, Project Nikat drop boxes

 

BSES has joined the league of modern day tech savvy banks. In yet another first in the utility sector, BSES has installed 10 state-of-the-art ATM type Bill Payments kiosks or Electronic Drop Boxes – the hallmark of modern day banking set up. These kiosks, in addition to BSES’ over 2000 existing payment options, will offer customers yet another next generation anytime, anywhere payment option.

 

These Bill Payment kiosks have been installed by BRPL / BYPL at their Customer Care centers / Division offices to provide customers with an option of paying their BSES electricity bill, without the hassle of standing in queues. Some of their unique features include:

 

·         Cheque / DD / Cash payment – These kiosks, equipped with the next generation Barcode Scanners and MICR Readers, enable the customers to make payment through Cash, Cheque and even Demand Drafts. In the second phase, they will also be configured to accept payment through Credit Cards and Debit Cards.

·         Multi-lingual (English / Hindi)Touch screen Interface for easy navigation

·         Anytime / Anywhere payment of BSES bills – Flexibility for BSES customer to pay their electricity bills at any of the Bill Payment kiosks – irrespective of their parent division.

·         Payment without Bill - Payment can also be made even without physical copy of the bill. The customer just needs to enter his/her CRN number

·         Voice guidance – For easy navigation, an advanced voice guidance system (in Hindi and English) to assist customers complete the transaction.

·         Instant payment confirmation – Immediate proof of payment available

·         Multiple bill payments against single payment of cash or cheque. This enables a customers to pay a consolidated cheque for multiple bills and yet receive individual bill wise receipts

 

Presently, these Bill Payment kiosks will be operational from 8 am to 8 pm. Depending on the response from the customers; their timings will be increased – eventually becoming  24 x 7.”, Shri Arun Kanchan, CEO, BSES. “The Bill Payment kiosks have so far been installed at 10 divisional offices – 5 each in BRPL and BYPL including Jhilmil, Dilshad Garden, Mayur Vihar – III, Laxmi Nagar, Shankar Road in BYPL and Sarita Vihar, Khanpur, Vikaspuri, Janakpuri and R K Puram in BRPL. In due course, these Bill Payment kiosks will be installed in all the BSES Customers Care / Division offices – across its 33 divisions”, he added.

 

 

 

 

 

In time, capabilities of these Bill Payment kiosks will be further enhanced to offer a slew of even more unique services. Some of these envisaged services include Multi utility payment; Duplicate Bill printing; Complaint Registration, Application and payment for new connections”, said a BSES official.

 

These state-of-the-art Bill Payment kiosks are being introduced through Transaction Solution International (TSI) India Private Ltd – a 100% subsidiary of Transaction Solutions International Public Limited - a company, registered in London, UK. In India, their clients include leading Banks, Utilities, Mobile and Insurance companies”, said a BSES official.

 

According to a BSES spokesperson, “Introduction of these Bill Payment kiosks is part of an ongoing and continuous process at BSES to constantly upgrade the level of customer services. In addition to these kiosks, BSES customers can also pay their electricity bill at over 2000 locations – through a wide spectrum of options including Credit Cards, Net banking, Auto Debit, SMS, Phone, Internet, Easy Bill outlets, Itz Cards, Skypak drop boxes, Project Nikat drop boxes among others”.
