BSES takes stern action against erring officials

16 employees dismissed, contract of three contractors terminated

BSES dismissed eight of its corrupt contractual employees, eight staff members, terminated its contract with three companies engaged in field operations. BSES was tipped off by the consumers about these erring officials on the anti-corruption number - 39999777. 

BSES Executive Committee member, Mr Lalit Jalan said, "We want to thank our customers who are more vigilant now and helping us nab unscrupulous officials. Undue harassment of our customers by any staff member will not be tolerated."  

The contracts of A2Z, KGL Systel, Ganpati Constructions Company have been terminated. Besides, eight of the dismissed contractual employees were on the rolls of the various contractors who have been hired for the meter modernisation program of BSES. Reports against these employees were received from various places of BSES' area of distribution network - Kalkaji, Krishna Nagar, Chittranjan Park, Palam, Vikaspuri and Saket.  

All the eight staff members- three filed engineers, four junior engineers and one bill distributor - who were dismissed, belonged to the Saket division of BSES.  

A BSES spokesman said: "BSES has taken a serious view of the complaints received from consumers against these employees. We want to reassure our consumers that BSES is committed to taking a stern view of any improprieties committed either by its employees or by any of the contractors."”  

In the event of any harassment, demand for monetary gratification or any other favours, being demanded by BSES employee or representative, consumers should immediately lodge their complaint or call 39999777.
