Free Meter Testing Camp organized at

Paharganj Division of BSES

Only one meter’s L.E.D found defective

BSES Yamuna Power Limited organised a meter testing camp on August 31.   Of the sixty meters tested, only one meter was found faulty.   The pulse lead of this meter had stopped and the meter was changed.  

BSES received an overwhelming response from consumers on the announcement of the launch of the initiative.   Large number of consumers availed the facility and got their meter tested.   Consumers appreciated the initiative taken up by BSES and said that it not only gave them the opportunity to get their meters tested to their satisfaction but they also found answers to a lot queries regarding meters on the spot.   The camp was attended, besides the area MLA Mr Motilal Sodhi, by the representatives of the local Resident Welfare Associations.

Consumers were given meter testing reports immediately after the testing of their meters.   To rule of possibility of any faulty in the earthing and neutral wires, these were also checked and if found faulty were fixed along with the meter testing.   Consumers were also informed about facts pertaining to the electronic meters besides the consumption capacity of the household appliances.  

Residents of Aram Bagh, Motia Khan, Basant Road, Shori Kothi and adjoining areas availed the facility of meter testing camp organised at the Paharganj division.   The significant feature of this camp is that the meters are being tested free of cost.   BSES is organising meter testing camps in all their 33 division offices for the benefit of its consumers.  

The meter testing exercise is jointly conducted by the representatives of Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), a premier Government of India agency for quality check and engineers from BSES.
