DTL shuts down its 220 KV Maharani Bagh-Lodhi Road Line for up-gradation

BSES uploads load shedding schedule on www.bsesdelhi.com

Delhi Transco Limited (DTL) has taken a temporary shutdown to increase the height of its 220KV Maharani Bagh-Lodhi Road main transmission line in lieu of preparations for the ensuing Commonwealth Games. This could cause some disruption of power supply in few BRPL served areas of South Delhi. To minimise any inconvenience to its consumers, BSES would back-feed the affected areas to the maximum extent possible.

Despite making the best possible efforts, some of the areas might still face some load shedding, since BSES is heavily dependent on this DTL 220 KV line. To minimise the impact, BSES is not only working very closely with DTL, but has also released a load shedding schedule. The same has been uploaded on the company’s web site www.bsesdelhi.com.

The affected South Delhi areas that may witness outages over the next few days include, Lodhi Road, Defence Colony, Nizamuddin, Lajpat Nagar, South Extension, Niti Bagh, Uday Park, Gulmohar Park, Maharani Bagh, East of Kailash and their adjoining areas

BSES, Delhi’s premier power distribution company, is committed to ensuring quality and reliable electricity supply to all its consumers.
