New BSES Assistance Centre inaugurated for Sonia Vihar residents

Over one lakh residents in and around Sonia Vihar and adjoining areas to benefit
Fully manned assistance centre for faster resolution of queries.
This is the third assistance center in the BYPL Karawal Nagar Division.
Mr Ramesh Narayanan, CEO BSES Yamuna Power Limited, today inaugurated the Sonia Vihar assistance centre at a simple ceremony. This assistance centre will benefit over one lakh consumers living in the high density Sonia Vihar, Chauhan Patti, Sriram Colony, Khajuri Khas, Sabapur Village and Milan Garden area.
In a break from tradition a line man, and the O&M Head for Karawal Nagar Division joined the CEO – Mr. Ramesh Narayanan in the auspicious “breaking of coconut” ritual.
The assistance centre fully manned by a 24 member team working in two shifts will facilitate faster power restoration, maintenance of supply and rectify cable faults in the area.
BYPL CEO, Mr. Narayanan said, “At BYPL we believe in inclusive growth, with this new assistance centre at Sonia Vihar – we are confident we will provide our customers in the area better services and faster resolution to their local power related issues. This centre will also assuage the concerns of our customers in the area who prefer to physically visit the BSES offices to register their complaints or queries.”
Mr. Narayanan further added, “The assistance centre services are in addition to the 24X7 call centre number-399 99 808 and SMS service 55-45-464 which are already available to BYPL customers.”
After Gokalpuri, and Karawal Nagar - Sonia Vihar is the third assistance center in the BYPL Karawal Nagar Division which has over over 1.20 lakh billed customers and close to five lakh residents in the area. The Karawal Nagar division is ranked no 4 amongst the BYPL 14 divisions in terms of “new connections” added.
