Power Minister dedicates 990KVA package substation

to the residents of Chandni Chowk

Power Minister Mr. Haroon Yusuf, on May 22, 2005, inaugurated the newly installed BSES 990 KVA Package Sub Station at Gali Hishamuddin, Ballimaran, Chandni Chowk at a well attended function.  

The packaged sub station unit conforms to highest safety standards making it ideal for installation, in heavily populated areas.  

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, which was attended by the area Councilor Mr. Jameer Ahmed and senior officials from BSES, Mr. Yusuf said that with the installation of the new sub station, both, residents and the shopkeepers of the area, can now look forward to consistent and reliable power.   He assured the residents that soon the cables feeding the sub station will also be replaced to ensure a stronger more reliable network system in place.  

According to the BSES spokesperson, “The new sub station built costing Rs 16 lakhs, is a compact unit comprising a transformer, SF6 circuit breaker and LT switch and is a safe and effective system to provide power in heavily populated areas.”
