BSES Power Alert

This summer, peak power demand in Delhi is expected to cross 5100 MW. Correspondingly, the power demand in BSES Rajdhani Power Limited’s (BRPL) area covering South and West parts of Delhi is expected to cross 2100 MW.

In view of the same and to ensure reliable network operations during the ensuing summer months, BRPL is undertaking preventive maintenance activity at critical grid sub-stations and distribution sub-stations in South and West Delhi. This activity will be carried out over the next few days.

Special care is being taken to ensure that there are no power-interruptions during days of the ongoing Board Examinations. It is also being ensured that the ‘planned’ shutdown in an area will not be repeated.

As a result, power supply to some parts of the following areas will be affected on March 10, 2011, between 10.30 AM to 4.30 PM :

Vasant Kunj (D-3, 4, 7 & 8), East of Kailash, Jasola Vihar, Jasola village, Safdarjung Enclave, Green Park Extn, Bhikaji Cama Place, New Friends Colony, Dwarka Sector 15,16,17, Sriniwas Puri, Garhi, Prakash Mohalla, Amrit Puri, , Amar Colony, Okhla Industrial Estate, Rangpuri Village, Mega Housing Project, Westend Greens, Mahipalpur Extn, , Nand Vihar, Guru Gobind Singh University, Group Housing Society No.3,4,5,7, 9 & 13 Paschim Vihar, Meera Bagh, State Bank Nagar, Chander Vihar, Ambika Apptt, Community Centre, Peeragarhi, Madipur, Punjabi Bagh, Tagore Garden, Village Bakargarh, Village Issapur, Village Surhera, Amar Colony Mundka, Arvind Enclave, Budh Vihar, Munirka, Dakshin Puri, Udyog Nagar, East Sagar Pur, A-Block Bharat Vihar, C-4E Janak Puri, B-Block Mayapuri, C Block and Gandhi Park, Hari Nagar, Y Block Hauz Khas, Village Deenpur, Durga Vihar, Roshan Vihar, Brij Vihar and Nehru Place.
