Around 400 people availed the camp facilities

A “Red Ribbon Van” was deputed to made people aware about AIDS and its prevention
Nukkad Natak was also staged by actors from Delhi AIDS Control Society to increase awareness about AIDS and remove misconceptions about the subject
BSES has always been reaching out and engaging the society it serves. The latest in the series of such endeavors was a day-long free Health Camp organized by BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) in association with the Delhi State AIDS Control Society, GoNCTD.
The free Health Camp saw a team of qualified doctors and specialists that included a Cardiologist, Diabetologist, Pulmonologist, General physician, Urologist, Eye specialist, Orthopaedician, Surgeon, Dietician, Physiotherapist and Counsellors from the Delhi State AIDS Control Society offering a plethora of free tests and consultations for the local community and BSES employees in Paschim Vihar over the weekend.
Some of the tests conducted include BP Monitoring, Blood Sugar, ECG, Echocardiography, BMI, Nuropathy, PSA, Ultrasound Abdomen, Eye tests by computer project chart and Autofractometer, Screening for bronchial Asthama and HIV etc.
A “Red Ribbon Van” was also deputed to inform, educate and make people aware on what is Acquired Immunity Deficiency Syndrome - AIDS and its prevention. A lot of literature was also FREELY distributed and a Nukkad Natak staged by the actors from Delhi AIDS Control Society to increase awareness about the topic and remove misconceptions.
The response to the Health Camp for overwhelming. It was attended by around 400 people. Senior BSES officials including BRPL CEO Mr Gopal Saxena and Head, HR, Mr Alok Verma, also visited the camp and interacted with the people.
According
to a BRPL spokesperson, “At
BSES, we believe in reaching out to the community we serve. Towards
this goal, BSES continuously strives to explore newer avenues of
collaboration and engagement at multiple levels. This health camp was
yet another testimonial to our out-reach program. Over time, more
such health camps will be organised”.
