At BSES, we believe in reaching out to our customers. Towards this goal, BSES continuously endures to explore newer avenues – collaboration with its stakeholders being the most important of them all. Continuing with this philosophy, BSES today launched ‘BSES Vishisht Sahayogi’ – a partnership initiative with eminent citizens and opinion makers in its licensed area.

The unique partnership initiative was launched by Dr Kiran Bedi, the celebrated IPS officer and recipient of the prestigious Ramon Magsaysay Award (also referred as Asia’s Nobel Prize). Others present on the occasion included newly appointed BSES Vishisht Sahayogi’s, RWA representatives, senior BSES officials led by its CEO, Shri Arun Kanchan.

Congratulating BSES for launching this initiative, Dr Bedi said “Such partnership initiatives lay the foundation of trust between various stakeholders and help bring about positive change. We can start the change from own homes, neighborhoods, bastis, villages and schools. My motto in life is that nothing is impossible, no target unachievable - one just has to try harder and harder"

Thanking Dr Bedi for agreeing to launch BSES’ Bhagidari initiative, Shri Kanchan said “We, at BSES are greatly inspired by Dr Bedi’s zeal for public good and Bhagidari between stakeholders. And like the motto of her recently launched ‘Mission Safer India’ that envisages to act as a bridge between citizens and the Police Services, BSES’ Vishisht Sahayogi initiative also seeks to act as a bridge between the company and its customers”.

“BSES has invited eminent citizens and opinion makers from its licensed area – with a zeal for public good and concerned about the welfare and development of their area – to be its BSES Vishisht Sahayogi’s. In the first phase of the initiative, BSES has appointed over 151 Vishisht Sahayogis (BRPL 85, BYPL 66)”, said a BSES official.

Explaining the dynamics of the ‘BSES Vishisht Sahayogi’ initiative, Shri Arun Kanchan said, “As part of the initiative, BSES will engage in a meaningful two-way dialogue with the Vishisht Sahayogis - for the larger benefit of each of its 25 lakh consumers. Senior offices of the company will regularly share with the Vishisht Sahayogis – the bridge between BSES and customers - company’s ongoing plans, the challenges it faces; the efforts it has made to meet the growing expectations of the consumers and how their cooperation can take the mission of ‘serving consumers’ to a new level”.

BSES will also organise regular ‘educative’ trips for its ‘Vishisht Sahayogi’s’ to its installations, most of them state-of-the-art, like SCADA, Grids, Sub Stations, Call Centre etc. The role of ‘BSES Vishisht Sahayogi’ will be pivotal. BSES will empower its ‘BSES Vishisht Sahayogis’, to be an important stakeholder and a change agent in the power development scenario of their area.

According to a BSES spokesperson “BSES Vishisht Sahayogi initiative seeks to build a mutually beneficial partnership between BSES and its customers. The program will enable BSES to get a better feedback and insights into the specific needs and requirements of an area and help design area specific deliverables”.
