BSES
reaches out to the under privileged, donates clothes
BSES’s deep rooted social conscious has often
seen it initiating projects for the under-privileged. The latest in this series
of socially relevant campaigns is the ARPAN initiative – under which cloths and
woolens were distributed to the needy today.
Conceived in December 2008, Project ARPAN
envisaged motivating employees and their families to donate clothes and woolens
for the less fortunate. “To make the effort meaningful, employees were
requested to donate clothes which they themselves will not be shy to wear. The
response has been overwhelming”, said a BSES official.
Once the clothes and woolens were collected,
BSES identified the inmates of the leprosy colony at Sundar Nagri at its
recipients and thus partnered with Rehabilitation Centre for Leprosy Patients (
