BSES revolutionises bill payment: launches payment through SMS, Phone, Internet and Auto Debit

 

 

BSES has revolutionised payment of its electricity bills and made their payment easier than ever before. Branded as “PayByPhone”, the service, in association with Bill Desk, lets BYPL and BRPL customers pay their electricity bills by SMS, Phone, Internet and Auto Debit to ones bank account or credit card.

 

According to a BSES official “A customer can select from any of the three convenient payment options. Option one automatically entitles them the flexibility to choose payment mode of SMS, phone or Internet. Options two and three, ensures auto debit of the payment through their bank account and credit card respectively”

 

All a customer, opting for SMS, phone and Internet has to do is to simply SMS BSESR and BSESY 6161 or call 26287125 or log on to www.bsesdelhi.com respectively every billing cycle to pay their electricity bill.  And customers opting for Auto Pay have to only give one time standing instructions, at the time of filling the registration form.  The payments will be debited from the registered bank account within two working days for SMS, Phone and Internet, or charges to their credit card or bank account for “Auto Pay”, as opted by the customer.

 

According to Mr Lalit Jalan, Director, BSES “This revolutionary PayByPhone facility comes free of charge to our customers and enables the customers to pay their BYPL and BRPL bills from practically any place on the earth”.

 

By SMS

 

The customer will receive a new bill alert via SMS with the Bill Amount and Due Date. To pay the bill, all a BRPL and BYPL customers have to do is to write PAY BSESR and PAY BSESY respectively and SMS to 6161, from their mobile number, mentioned in the registration in the form. The customers will be sent a SMS confirming both the receipt of their payment instruction and even successful and unsuccessful debit of their account.

 

By Phone

 

Customers upon receiving their regular bill have to call Bill Desk at 26287125 between 9:30 am to 6:00 pm on all working days, give their new K No and issue payment instructions. Customers will be given a unique transaction ID for any future reference.

 

By Internet

 

Customer opting for payment through Internet will receive a new bill via alert and they have to simply log onto the BSES website. www.bsesdelhi.com and log in using email id and password and pay the due payment, using any of their registered bank accounts.

 

Auto Pay

 

A customer’s bank account or credit card will be automatically debited, as per the option chosen by the customer, according to their billing cycle. If the customer has provided an email id or mobile number, they wilt receive new bill alerts and payment confirmations.

 

Customers paying through SMS, Phone and Internet have to ensure that they give their payment instructions, at least five days before the due date. And customers BRPL and BYPL accounts will be updated within five working days., added a BSES spokesperson.

 

It is very easy to register for “PayByPhone”, all a customer has to do is fill up a one time registration form and submit the same at any of BYPL and BRPL customer care centres., said a BSES official. The official added that the registration forms can be obtained from all our customer care centres, from our website www.bsesdelhi.com or the customer can call 011-39999707 / 39999808 or simply SMS 6161 and the registration form will be couriered to them. A customers “PayByPhone” account will be activated within three days, upon receiving the customer’s bank’s approval.

 

A BSES spokesperson said “The online facility is in addition to the existing 835 payments options including 400 Eazy Bill outlets, 33 divisional office cash counters, 200 BSES cash counters, 200 Skypak drop boxes and 2 mobile cash collection vans available to the BSES customers in Delhi
