BSES launches drive to resolve

meter and cable related complaints

Next week will kick-off the launch of BSES’ special drive for checking meters in all its 33 divisions. Meters will be tested and the testing report will be given to the consumers, on-the-spot.  

The company will also check the wiring and earthing of the consumers’ premise to rule out any possibility of faults.   On detection of any fault in the wiring, it will be changed by the officials.   

For complete consumer satisfaction, BSES team will be accompanied by representatives from Central Power Research Institute (CPRI), a premier Government of India agency for quality check and ERDA.   Each day 50 meter requests will be taken up by the team.  

The team will comprise of an engineer from CPRI, four engineers from Meter Management Group (MMG) and four electrical engineers.   Besides, senior BSES officials who will be a part of this camp will be the division in-charge, respective division Public Relation Officer, Circle Manager of the MMG and Corporate Coordinator.  

Besides meter testing, any other power related complaints will be resolved then and there and consumers will be provided with exhaustive information about their electronic meter.   Officials will also equip the consumers about the facts regarding the power consumption of the electrical gadgets being used by them.  

BSES requests its consumers to avail this unique facility.   The request for meter testing will have to be forwarded by any one of the following – a Member of Parliament, a Member of Legislative Assembly, a Corporator, the DERC, the Consumer Grievance Forum and the relevant RWA.
